The Darned - Prototype

THE DARNED - PROTOTYPE

is an action-adventure Soulslike experience set inside a dollmaker’s shop. Players take control of Charlie, a damaged stuffed animal who wakes up to find something off. Beside him stands a mysterious NPC stitched together from various toy parts, resembling a patchwork monster.

At first, the shop appears harmless, filled with cozy nostalgia. But as night falls, the atmosphere shifts. Shadows stretch, and other stuffed animals begin to emerge. Initially, they seem friendly, but as they step into the dim light, their grotesque, mismatched limbs reveal the truth—they’ve been cut apart and reassembled. These broken toys are not here to welcome Charlie but for revenge.

Players must fight through waves of these vengeful stuffed creatures, unravelling the dark mystery of the dollmaker’s shop. What begins as a charming exploration quickly descends into a haunting nightmare, blending the eerie Toy Story style of Visual horror with Soulslike combat and storytelling.
